As we already reported, AquaProp is official partner of the Dive Trophy 2016! And the challenges are already running!
The new video of the last Dive Trophy has just gone online.

The Dive Trophy 2016 is already the 12th event, which brings numerous divers together worldwide every year and grew up to one of the most popular events of the European diving branch. During the participation period from 01/11/2015 – 30/09/2016 (entry possible at any time), the participants earn points, which are assigned for dives, training courses, equipment purchase, dive travels and experience. The best 100 meet on October 22, 2016 in the indoor diving centre Dive4Life in Siegburg to participate to the final lap. The top 10 divers will be invited for the Dive Trophy Final at the red sea on the end of November to fight for the title “Champion of the Year”. The 100 best participants have the possibility to win numerous prices of the Dive Trophy partners. In addition, special prizes will be raffled during the point collection period.

AquaProp in the Dive Trophy
During the point collection period, the participants dive at the destinations of their choice and, if available, they can already practice a bit of AquaProp Scooter diving before. Furthermore, there are prices to win around the AquaProp during the Qualification period. In the preliminaries at the indoor diving centre in Siegburg and in the final in the Robinson Club Soma Bay, Egypt it is all about the good handling of the AquaProp. The participants have to solve tricky tasks with the AquaProp. Here, not only diving experience, but also skill and endurance in dealing with the AquaProp are in demand! AquaProp – so light, so easy, just take it!

On 17th of may 2016, Timo Dersch, editor from the german dive magazine “Tauchen”, department technics accomplished a DPV-Test on Attersee, Austria. BONEX & AquaProp also participated!

On 1st of may 2016 Andrea’s Tauchschule SUN DIVE from Aalen (www.sun-dive.de) organized their first test-Event this year – and it was a great success!
All participants who were interested in diving with a DPV, had the possibility to try a BONEX Scooter. The weather was great, the visibility epic and so the divers could experience a complete new feeling of diving! To cross the lake and pass from one end to the other – no problem.
The feedbacks of the participants: “Just having fun and fly through the water! Brilliant!”
On the end of the event all divers were happy because of this great new experience!

Also on 19th and 20th of march 2016, Bonex was present on the diving exhibition Dyk Mässan in Stockholm. The swedish diving fair became increasingly popular within the last years and offers a wide range of topics for free- and scuba divers as well as for snorchlers and for each who likes being in- and under water!
For sure Bonex had to be on the spot! The positive development of the fair brough more visitors this year compared to the last years, and for Bonex numerous new clients.
Next Dyk Mässan: 18./19.03.2017

On the weekend of the 19.th & 20th of march 2016 the annual Tec-Event Thunersee near Hilterfingen in Switzerland took place.
Already for the 6th time Bonex participated in this special event and, with that, belongs to the exhibitors which are involved from the beginning in 2010.
During two days divers informed themselves about news and classics in technical diving. Presenations, shows and diving offers were at the visitors disposal. From Bonex Patrick Bonetsmüller and Salome Widmer were on the place and informed and advised numerous visitors during these 2 busy days!
And it was worth it – we are looking forward to the next event on the Thunersee in 2017!

We are always working on the innovation and optimization of our technologies. Under this aspect and considering customers´ requirements, the new ECOS S was developed. The individual strengths of the RS styles and the best features of the classic styles were combined in a new ECOS model”, Christiane Bonetsmüller, founder of Bonex Explorationssysteme, declares the new development of the ECSO S.

Previously the ECOS models were the classics in the DPV range and convinced by their versatility, high performance and an excellent price-performance ratio. The RS models offered moreover additional quality details that were not available at the previous ECOS styles.

The most significant difference of the ECOS S is that it combines the compactness of the ECOS models and the professional criteria of the RS models. The ECOS S offers a continuously variable speed control, as well as the Quick-Shift-Function and an Emergency-Switch. These functions, until now, were reserved for the RS models. In addition, he is coming up with a bit more power – with a thrust of 270 N the ECOS S reaches speeds of 70 m / min. Furthermore a single-hand-use is possible, which gives the diver expanded flexibility in dealing with additional equipment. Summarizing the ECOS S is thus much more attractive for the application in cave diving, because now it meets requirements that are necessary in this special type of diving.

Nevertheless, the user of the ECOS S must not renounce on the proven benefits of the ECOS+. Here the new model scores equally with the light middleweight of 15 kg including battery and trim. Equipped with batteries of the latest generation, cruising-fun of up to 200 minutes or a range of up to 6 km is possible. In order to be prepared for its diverse application areas, the tube and the shroud are made of impact-resistant and durable Carbon – so the scooter is very sturdy and tolerant against damages. Therefore the ECOS S is the ideal companion for Deep-, Wreck-, Rebreather- and now also Cave-dives.

In summary, the new model ECOS S brings together all best of features of the Universal- and Performance Line, what makes him the professional companion for any kind of dives. Therefore, it replaces the standard models Reference and Discovery. The next higher power level and step in the specified operating range after the ECOS S are the models Reference RS and Discovery RS from the Explorer line.
